I am looking to do a simple upgrade on my surrounds. right now i am using the r15s with the r30s as the mains and the cs1 for the center. I am looking at the same price range as the r15s maybe a little bit more. As far as upgrading the whole system to the rti series thats in the future.

well, if you're going to get into the RTi line, then you need to go with RTi4/6's or FXi3's. They'll be a LOT more than a set of R15's. It's kinda hard to upgrade without spending more money.
Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

    Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.

Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.

You would be better off saving and waiting until you can upgrade the entire system. Upgrading the surrounds would not offer much improvement since 90% of the the soundtrack comes from the fronts and center channel. Waste of money IMHO.
