Amp Q

Hey whats up everyone, i seem to have a problem with my amp. I turn my power on to my car and my amp only is in standby power power mode for 5 seconds then nothing else happens it just turns off any help on what might be wrong im all ears.

    yeah, a good plastic surgeon could help you better there...

    doublecheck the REM wire, but it seems to be connected... check the ground, too, that's a common problem, make sure it's clamped tightly to bare metal...

    All my wires and connections seem to be good and tight my ground is still firm. Hows this im all eyes for any other suggestions.

    Also make sure that your speaker wires are not making contact with ground. Sometimes they can get pinched off and contact metal.

    Since the light is coming on then going off my first guess would be either speaker wires shorting, RCA's shorting or youre running at too low an impedance load.

    Disconnect one speaker wire at a time and see if it comes back on. Then disconnect one RCA at a time. If the amp stays off with all of these disconnected then look to youre remote wire first then your ground.

    ya i realize that when i went and was looking at my amp, i belive ive found the problem. my power cable to the amp is kinda loose where i crimped. i moved it around and i got power now and my blue amp light is on. (meaning i have power getting to my subs) but it fades in and out so i hope when i fix that itll be fixed for good thanks for the help.
