Amazing how powerful that cable company is, and how in debt UE is to them.

    My favorite lawyer:

"We hope Ultimate has a future ahead of it," says Dave Tognotti, general counsel of Monster Cable, Ultimate's largest creditor with a $10.86 million claim

That sucks man. I the only time Ive ever been in one was when I went to Texas back in March.

I thought the showroom was outstanding. Better than any Tweeter or Circuit City Id been in. The sales staff was friendly and quite knowledgable.

Its sad when a fine, high end store like that goes under while Best Buy continues on its way to ruling the world.

that's the way the entire electronics industry is going though. It's all about price. People don't give a damn about quality or how it will improve their lifestyle. It's about price. Period. If you take an LSi9 and put it next to an Infinity Primus 150 bookshelf ($900/pr vs. $180/pr)... you'll sell 95% Infinity. Why do you think HTiB's became so damn popular.

Some people just dont care. My wife wouldnt know the difference between a Focal Grande Utopia and a GE clock radio.

In a way I wish I was like that. Id have a lot more money right now and wouldnt be up to my eyeballs in debt. :(

It looks as if Monster "put" them into BK. They total over 40% of the listed companies in the article. According to the debts at hand its as though people spent almost as much on Monster Cable alone as all other electronic purchases combined.

It is interesting to note that Monster undoubtedly has the loosest collection practices since they allowed 10 times as much debt as the next electronics company.
