Man I been getting a phone call atleast once or twice a day from a some fraud people claiming to be Consumer Rewards Network. (1-888-656-9895) They have a middle eastern accent.
They claim that I have won a 500 shopping spree, all I have to do is pay for a $4.95 package by check and I have to give them the number on the bottom of my check book.
I get tired of them calling so I just played along to waste thier time. I gave them the wrong address to my house, (plus I'm moving in a week) and I didnt give them my check number on the bottom of my check. Instead I gave them the number on the bottom of a Fry's rebate check and changed the last number on it.
I was hoping I'd fustrate them when they find out its not my account. But then I thought what if the check number I gave really exist..could I get in trouble for that?

I doubt you would get in trouble given the circumstances. You wanted the little **** off your back so you did something NON violent about it.
