    Jesus dude. Talk about crappy luck!

    You may need to just rip everything out and start over!

    I would say look up another shop. Find a local dealer of high end gear like Focal or whatever and look to see if they ever have anything to do with a competing org like MECA, IASCA, SLAP or USACi. They will have much better installers.

    Eh, Hasnt been a good past few weeks...

    What does NEXT mean?

    Ever gone to the drive through and you order and they go "NEXT" or at the doctors office...

    Like dismissing you...

    Came around the whole SDA tweeter fiasco...

    And what attitude? My crossover really did go poof...and Polk really did send me a free replacement... :confused:

    "NEXT" as in - dismissed, as in next in line, not worth the time...

    Was changed to that with the whole SDA tweeter fiasco...

    Changed back recently for god knows why...

    i then asked the install guy if he would at least hook my speakers up to my head unit so i could get some sort of power while i wait for them to get their amp in stock and install for wednesday (they were booked for today and tomorrow, and the install guy doesnt work sun or mon)

    so i get into my car, drive off with what i had. come to find out, as i was messing with my balance and fade, my back left speaker STILL was not working. the reason for this, i was told by the last tweeter installer was that my left channel blew in my amp. THAT WAS THE REASON I SENT IT TO BE FIXED. the front speakers still suck **** too cuz the first tweeter installer effed up the crossovers.

    so i just got home about 2 minutes ago and dont know what is going on.

    another update...

    good and bad news i guess


    so being as thrilled as i was yesterday, i just went into my trunk and yanked out the back left speaker's crossover. just looking for messed up wires or anything out of desperation.

    what do i find?

    oh yes, the cross-over has 2 wires sticking out, only 1 of them is connected to another wire for my car. the other one is simply just disconnected.

    out of sure awe, i was in such dis-belief that i thought to myself, 'maybe its supposed to be like that or something'. so i checked the other side and sure enough they were both hooked up.

    MEANING, that the tweeter installer flat out lied to my face when he told me that my "left channel blew". "its not your speaker cuz i hooked up your speaker to a different power source and it worked just fine".

    so my bro got home and hes an comp/electrical engineer and he looked at the wire and knew exactly how to repair it. so he sodered them up or whatever.

    what does this mean? im stoked in the fact that im gonna go to tweeter in a lil bit and get my money back for the amp i just bought yesterday. still bad news in the fact that i didnt have my system up for 2 months cuz some lazy installer screwed me over.

    lesson to be learned...learn how to install crap yourself.
