XRt12 Tuner Remote Code

Does anyone know/have the three digit code to program a universal remote for the XM tuner (if possible)? I tried the auto learn function on my HK AVR500 remote, but no cigar. I don't need another remote laying around and the XM tuner remote seems pretty simple fare. Any help appreciated.

You should give him a call.

There is no easy "three button command". You'll have to do the manual head to head IR learning (or get a Pronto and have files readily available).Brian Knauss

Thanks for the info.
Perhaps this should be a design consideration in the XRt13. I don't think my desire is unique, and we're really just talking (from my perspective) about 4-way navigation, select, and on/off as critical for universal remote functionality. -
Blue - I think this is more of an effort to get other manufacturers to include the code in their remotes. The recommendation is definitely noted if/when there is another tuner.Brian Knauss

Blue--My universal remote has had a diffucult time "learning" the XRT code, most times it does not work, then suddenly on one or two occasions the tuner will come on, I have given up and just use the tuners remote.

Some of the remote codes include a "toggle" code. This means that the remote sends out a different IR signal each time the button is pressed. If your learning remote is having trouble with some buttons (particularly Power), you may be having a toggle problem.
I know the Power button does this, but there may be other buttons as well.
If your learning remote is having problems, like only turning the power on or off (but not both) or only working intermittently, you may be having this problem.
For the power button, assign two different buttons: Power On and Power Off.
1. Without your learning remote "watching," use the XRt-12 remote to turn the tuner On.
2. Put your learning remote in Learn mode for Power OFF and program it by pressing the Power button on the XRt-12 remote.
3. If your learning remote needs "confirmation," cover the IR output of the XRt-12 remote and press Power, then uncover the IR port and press Power again.
4. Ready your learning remote for Power ON and teach it the XRt-12's Power button again.
5. If your learning remote needs "confirmation," cover the IR output of the XRt-12 remote and press Power, then uncover the IR port and press Power again.
This should take care of the problem for you. If you are having trouble with buttons other than Power, adapt the above instructions accordingly. -
Have I ever mentioned here that I love my Harmony?????
Logged on to Harmony through my Harmony Monitor in my desktop, added the Polk Tuner in a few seconds, adjusted a couple of activities (you know...when I want to listen to XM, turn on the tuna, the receiver on "AUX", etc)...and VOILA.....
What remotes are you guys using???? You can get the one I have for less than 100 bucks..._________________________________________________

I hate that DVR remote. The volume button on my HD box is the same location as the left arrow on the DVR remote. I keep rewinding the program when I want to put the volume down!!!Brian Knauss
