Is it ok to have 4 ohm speakers for LCR and 8ohm speakers for the surrounds in a 6.1 or 7.1 setup?

Here is the setup I am contemplating (criticism welcome)...
Will be about 50/50 HT/Music
LSi7s fronts
LSiC center
RTi4s for surrounds.
SVS PB12-Plus
Yamaha RX-V2500

This setup basically hits the roof of my budget.
I was thinking that maybe I should get a separate 3 channel amp to drive the 4ohm speakers and scale back on the receiver (RX-V1500) to drive the 8ohm speakers.
It might extend the budget somewhat, but probably worth it.

Does this sound reasonable?

I have 4 ohm in the front and the surrounds are 8. No problems here.

When I called Onkyo to find out if my 777 AVR would run 4 ohm speakers they said it would but did not recommend running 4 and 8 ohm speakers together at the same time.

After I purchased my amp I called Cinepro (the makers of my amp) and they said that I could run any ohm speaker I wanted on any channel (down to 2 ohms) and mix and match as I wanted.

Maybe it depends on the quality of your amp?? - I would just call the manufacturer and ask if it would be a problem with thier amplifier.
