All subs are different, you will get a dozen say Svs rules.. or try Hsu... they are all in different leagues i think... Polks 505 is supposed to be a great contender, Hsu is a greater value based hard hitter so ive read, and SVS being the best bang for your buck and hard hitting bass but still inline with hsu... The best is to try the polks, and/or then order a hsu or svs... I have had 2 svs's and love them, best bass ive heard and work great for HT... depends what you use the sub for most... use the search function we have 100's of sub topics on here....

You can't get any reviews about the PSW1000 since it isn't out yet :)

Polk subs are generally not thought to be top contenders in their price range.

PolkThug did an in room comparison between two SVS PB10 versus two Polk PSW505.
The SVS dominated the Polk everywhere below 30HZ

SVS or HSU will tromp anything Polk makes at the same price point.

Faster100, would you said for music and movie Polk 505 should be more then sufficient. If I'm looking for hardcore explosive movie action then I should go with SVS or HSU.

    m500,
See the polk PSW505 review by Ed over at the Secrets website. Very detailed review. Compare that to the SVS PB10 review at the same website.

    PSW505 review

    SVS PB10-ISD review

I think for a similar price, you would be much better off with the SVS.
