Holy smokes, I lost the Paradigm Studio 100's. Some a-hole bid $2175!!!...He was $125 away from a brand new pair of V.3!!!

Idiot. Oh well.

One thing I have learned in the last year of searching for new speakers, there's nothing this side of $1500 that I would buy (aside from the Paradigm Studio 100) to replace my Athena's. That's saying alot about a $600 speaker (now $399).

I have looked at the pardadigm speakers before and I agree. The used prices are so close to the new prices you have to wonder why anyone purchases them used.....

A couple of other brands to think of (if you are willing to go used and up to $1,500.)

    Magnepan
    Vandersteen

Both have excellent examples on sale on audiogon for under your $1500 cap. If you have a dealer near you, they may be worth at least a listen.

Other than that, Good luck on your search.

    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

Rats! Those were local too. Could have saved a bunch on shipping. There are some really ignorant Ebay bidders out there. I don't think they have a clue about researching products.
