Is is best to use jumpers of the same make as your speaker cable?
The reason I ask is that I run kimber 4pr to my mains
I have :
left-over kimber
left over monster 16awg
left over 12awg HD cable
Kimber is hard to work with I have made 1 set but don't like the looks..all un-even.
I have a pair that I made of the HD looks nice finished in black shrink.
Or should I use the left-over M cable?

IMO, it's best to use all the same wire.Political Correctness'.........defined

I have Cobalt Cable speaker cables on my LSIs but I am running Acoustic Zen jumpers. They sound awesome.
Jumpers make a big difference on these compared to those brass doojobbies they come with.Sharp Elite 70

ok what about using two sets of the metal jumpers . Just wondering until I go out an buy a set of nanners or spades. I have DIY jumpers on my mains but my rears only have the metal ones

JF, you're needlessly concerning yourself over something that can't possibly make a difference. Speaker designers who've worked to create a quality sound don't then sabotage their own speakers with something that would degrade the sound. Over the distance of 2-3" involved any reasonably conductive piece of metal, such as the one already there, works fine and has no discernible effect.

That's not what members here have reported time after time. Many folks have found that replacing the stock jumpers has improved their system.
Now as for worrying about whether jumpers are the same brand of wire... I'll take the 5th on that one...More later,

John, true to a point but it doesn't hurt. I have used DIY jumpers before and continue. Now that I think of it if they can use metal brakets then any speaker wire will do.
I just hate trying to make them out of the Kimbers. like I said they are a pain to work with. -

I use Cobalt Cable Jumpers on my rear speakers that is made of 10AWG and has a very good termination (spades/banana) . I had DIY 12AWG before that but the Cobalt jumpers are very well terminated. Though pricey at $24 after 40% discount but the build quality is very good.

I'm going to try replacing my jumpers too. Just need to pick up a little extra wire and if I like the results I'll try and find some spades to make a nice clean set of jumpers.

Well I just put on a set of home depot special jumpers.... nothing fancy like spades or anything, just somethin cheap to try. The wire is 12 awg and about 30 cents a foot. Since it took about 20 mins inbetween music with stock jumpers to music with HD jumpers I couldn't really get a good a/b. I'm not going to say it improved drastically but I think the highs are a little more foward and it was definatly not a downgrade. I'd say it is an upgrade that is worth the money (a whopping 50 cents or something hehe) Heres a pic... and yes I know its dusty back there

Here's what the Cobalt Jumpers look like.
