Hey all, I am looking into purchasing a pair of RTi12s.......I've been goin back and forth between the 12s, 10s, and 8s and I dont think I can pass up the raw power that is the 12s.

That being the case.....I know my Denon 3805 AVR will run a set of RTi12s enough to get sound out of them but I need some suggestions to help make them really shine.

I was looking into picking up a pair of Outlaw Monoblock Amps; but they are only rated at 200watts a piece. Being as though I will have one for each speaker is that going to be enough to really make them sing or should I be thinking about another Amp all together.

I want the most bang for my buck here and price is kinda an issue. At $299 I thought that Outlaws were a great little amp to get my hands on. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks again.

those monoblocks are great for your rti12's. 200 watts will make them sing like a fat lady at the end. you might even be able to get b stock outlaws, then youd have an even better price

Agree on the 200 wpc being plenty.

For music, I like the RTi10's better myself... the 12's bass seems a little bloated to me. The 10's are just tighter.

For HT, the 10's are a better choice as well, IMO. With a decent sub in the mix, if you run mains set to small, you'll never use the added bass that comes with the 12's.

thanks all......I just auditioned the speakers this afternoon and I think the RTi10s might be the way to go for me at least.....

I plan on getting an HSU VTF3 MKII sub for my system and I think the 12s are just a little too big for my needs. That is one massive speaker.

So if I am going to go with the 10s.....does it make sense to still get myself a pair of the M200s? Whatcha guys think.

    I think you're a very astute auditioner.. :D

As for the amps, you're in the right power range. If you want new, bag the Outlaws. If you're open to used, there are other options that'll land you even more power for less than $598.
