I just got a set of monster bi wire cables, hooked them up to my rt2000p's and heard a noticeable improvement over using the bridge. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend to tweek.

Depending on who you ask, it may or may not make a difference. Get some cheap 12AWG speaker wire and experiment for yourself.

bi-wiring is very subjective. I do it, because I CAN. Nice cool factor. Audible difference? Who knows.

2283, there're several discussions of biwiring on this board which you can find using the search function. It isn't significantly different electrically and factually can't make an audible difference. If you mean that you already have enough wire and want to try it anyway, but that the wire is too thick to fit easily, simply trim enough strands off the stripped ends so that they'll fit. Within reason, the gauge of the last 1/2" or so which is stripped makes no significant difference to the resistance of the entire length.

Another thing to play with is replacing the stock jumpers on your Polk's with heavy guage wire (12 or 14). This might give you as much improvement as a full bi-wire run.

As for fitting in all the wire at your amp end... many dual bananas accept banana plugs in their ****-end, so you just daisy chain in the second wire run.

Play with the options and decide for yourself.
