If you had to choose from Alpine Type-R's, Audiobahn Aluminiums, and Momo Subs which makes the best 10" for the cost?

Hard to tell, what kind of enclosure you putting them in? Truck, Car? I would say...in my opinion, MOMO or Type-R. Not a fan of the Audiobahn. I like both the Type-R's and the MOMO's, and would give the MOMO's the edge because of the cleaner sounding bass. Type-R's do have more wiring options, but are about 3/4's of an inch deeper so they are less versitile, but a little less expensive. My choice would be the Polks, but I think you'll be very happy either way.

www.carstereotime.com has the mm100s for $175 per speaker with free shipping
i too think the momos sound better than the alpine but i also think you should hear them both for yourself depending on what music you like, how much space you can take up, and what kind of enclosure youll need/want
hope i could be of help

Definately should be between Polk and Alpine. If you're looking for sound quality, definately the MOMO's, but if you want pure SPL, Type-R's may be a better choice, they do get louder, but you lose some of the sound quality. Both excellent sounding subs though. Like Cody said, you should definately try to hear them both. I know this is still probably no help... Sorry.

Lemme cut to the chase, if you can shell out the few extra bucks, go with the momo's!
