Anyone have any recommendations for an amp $600 or less, new or used, that would go well go with the Dodd Audio ELP and Paradigm Studio 40's?
Thanks in advance ;)

My NAD 2700's sound really nice with the Dodd, am running two of them bridged mono to the 1C's. I would think Parasound would be really nice with the Dodd. You should be able to snag either on the gon for well under 600.00, I sold a NAD 2600A to another CP member for 250.00 with ship if I remember right.

I do like have having a ss amp with the tube pre. Good Luck and I bet your really going to like the Dodd.

Parasound....in addition to the other great choices.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Appreciate the ideas dudes!
Here are a few I found so far. I was wondering if the prices look reasonable.
    Audiogon:
    Acurus A100 - 370.00 shipped
    Acurus A150 - 350.00 plus shipping
    Audire Forte 125x2 - 495.00 plus shipping
    Parasound Halo A23 - 545.00 plus shipping
    Parasound 1500A - 540.00 plus shipping

    Ebay:
    Acurus A200 - 450.00 min bid, 495.00 buy-it now + 20.00 shipping

There are a couple Parasound 1500A's and an HCA-1200 on Ebay also with the bids a little over 300.00 each right now and a couple Rotel 980BX's that just started. Also thinking of a NAD C270 possibly.
    Thanks again for the input.

EDIT: I also just saw a brand new Acurus A200 on Audiogon for 699.00 plus shipping. It says "This is a fixed price listing, but the seller is taking offers." Not sure if that's what they meant though.

The Parasound prices look fairly average, but I cannot speak for the others without looking at the books.

If you want something uncommon and often understated, go with Russmans' suggestions, as that's why he posted them....if you want mainstream, same high quality, go with the Parasound 1500/1200.

I personally like to go against the grain if at all possible.

OK...thanks! I've done a little research on Ebay to see what some of these have gone for so I've got a little better idea now. Too bad Audiogon doesn't keep a 'sold' database.

Oh yeah :o I meant one you didn't have to pay for. 19.95 for the year would be OK but for 1 month it's not worth it to me. I don't buy or sell that much stuff. It's OK bothering you guys though
