Not a score but hopefully a good deal.
Carver 2000 receiver in fairly good shape. There a knob broken but I have most of the pieces. I may be able to glue them together.
Listened for a few minutes last night and thought 'Wow'.
Needs some cleaning with deoxit as some of the switches/pots are noisy.
Trying to track down a service manual and/or will consider sending it out for service.
I think my brother's going to like this when I'm done with it.
regards
Dave

I would call that a very good find, did you get it for a song and dance?:D I hope this summer the yardsales generate some good finds.....*crosses fingers*."Its worked so far but we're not out yet."

Ended up paying $150. Some fellow polkies were helpful with blue book and ebay prices. Talked to the seller for 1/2 hr and he seemed to be a nice guy so I'm taking a chance.
From the 1/2 hr of listening time so far it sounds really nice. The bass from it is very well behaved, no sloppiness at all. I think I'm going to regret handing this over to him.
