JM Lab 706S vs. Swan 2.1

I'm lookin at new speakers and I wanted to know if anyone has heard Swan speakers? Can you only buy them online? I want to know how they'd compare to JM labs. I really like the JM labs but I guess I'm willing to try new things. What do you guys think?

I have the 2.1's & everything about them are top notch, exp. for $299(in the black cherry). I had the RTI's before & the swans are a little warmer sounding & I find the tweeters less harsh than the trilams. Also the pictures on the site dont do them justice, the things are beautiful in person.

how were they compared to your lsi's? just alittle warmer?

Yea they are warmer sounding(which I like) & the soundstage is pretty large for a bookshelf speaker. They work pretty well for L/R speakers in hometheater but I will eventually move up to the 6.1's & move the 2.1's to the rear. I want to get a seperate amp so I can see what they can really do. But I dont think you would be disapointed with ethier one. Ive never heard JMlabs but I do own Focal polyglass components for my car & I love them. I was very impressed with the swans though, with the build quality(awesome finish, pretty heavy for a bookshelf speaker, the best binding post ive seen) to the little details like the packaging, double boxed & each speaker shipped in its own cotton sack with cotton gloves so you can wipe off the piano finnish and a strand of 12awg speaker wire for each speaker. I got the black cherry & I think they look better than the rosewood.

How would the 706S compare to LSi7s?

I liked the JM Lab's better then the Lsi9's. (there were no 7's in the store but 9 is close enough) But hey who cares now, I scored some 707s'
They are gonna kick ****. I will report back after I listen to them for a while. -
Hrm maybe I should go for some 706s's then....what did the 706 have over the 9?

I liked the high's better on the JM lab's, and the Jm labs weren't as bassy. However, the Lsi9's were horribly setup in one of the worst demo rooms around.

If you are in the market for some JM lab, I haven't yet told my mom about that little purchase and there is a good chance she will want me to sell them. If this is the case, I would sell them to you for exactly what I paid. -
