What current product from Polk is most similar to the RTi70? Is it the R50 or the Monitor 50? All have the same number of drivers, but I'm also looking at SQ.

Thanks,

Nadams

Polk Audio RTi8 is the 'modern equivelant'
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I had a pair of rti8s and rti70s....brought the rti8s back cause of an irritating hiss coming from the tweeter.

When I bought my RTi70's, they had them sitting right beside a pair of RTi8's, I listened to both, they sounded identical to me. Ok, now guys I said they sounded indentical to me.

I thought the RTi70's were modern. Nevermind, I'm old.

I'm sure I'll be all alone out on this one...but I actually prefer the RTi70s...

I did the same thing. Had em set up right next to each other and far apart. Even with my eyes closed I could tell which one was the rti8.

Some poeple have great hearing while others dont.

Which is why you always listen for yourselves and take other peoples opinions with a grain of salt. If every one of us heard the same thing there would only be one speaker manufacturer! =)

And alot of times it doesn't even boil down necessarily to good hearing. Even my wife can hear the difference between those two models, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we're going to agree on which one sounds better, because that's of course subjective...
