I was thinking of using the 202 on my rears my question is do I set my rears as large? and how do you calibrate it/them ?

What is your main sub?
I wouldnt plug it up to my rears, even if I do like full range surrounds. The 202 wont be able to keep up in the more difficult passages, not worth plugging it up...
But if you decide to do it... you would plug it up by speaker wire, then calibrate it with the speakers, or more so turn it up or down until it suits your needs by playing a movies- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Ditto. If you set your rears to large, then the "rear bass" won't be directed to your Energy sub, and if the bass is below the 202's response, you will miss it.

The main is energy S10.2. I have the 202 lying around trying to sell it along with a full set of yamaha sats. I thought of using the 202 but you did make a valid point. Maybe I'll just keep it in the box stored away.

Now, I disagree with Thug...
If the subwoofer is setup via LFE cable.. it will still play the rear bass...
The 202, hooked up with speaker wire would act just as if it was a full range surround setup... but the 202 isnt full range, so its not worth it to start with...
LFE dosnt know whether u have a sub hooked up with speaker wire or if u have full rang esurrounds - its all the same.
Some receivers may be different though...
But I know of quite a few people that have FR speakers on each channel, AND a LFE sub- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
I can't run LFE to the rears (WAF) so it'll sit in the closet for a while or I might bring it up to the cottage and set up a lil sytem there.
