Mirror Image?

Yep, my mains arnt mirror imaged. I think they should be...

Question is, would actually mirror imaging the mains bring about NEGATIVE effects? Or would it only be a positive change? Wood is incredibly expensive, and I really cant afford to screw up on anything... so... this is just a question, no real *try it and find out* option...

*I could actually turn my left main around and (in theory) it would be mirror imaged, but the delay time or w/e that is on the rear drivers would make this sound horrid... no?

I am guessing DT dosnt mirror image to cut down on production costs...

Been a while since I looked at DT's, but aren't their side-mounted woofers "mirror imaged"?

While with wide, multiple driver, direct radiator speakers, e.g., DQ-10's, a mirror imaged layout is desireable, but I doubt it would make that much difference in a tower.

Old, medium width classics like the AR 3a and Advents are not mirror imaged.

    Their subwoofers are mirror-imaged, yes...

However, their 2-way towers are not (I dunno about the powered tower line, havnt really paid much attention) - but the BP6B, BP8B, BP10B are not mirror imaged.

I find that, since they are not mirror imaged, I have to position them differently (different angles) to make the tweeter point at me the same way... so mirror imaging me be a good thing? I dunno

You're not saying anything about them sounding "off"... just "looks like".

For a couple inches difference in distance to listening position, I just don't think it's a factor.

Here is the right channel, the left channel looks the same way (if I were to switch them, the position of the tweeter would be the same)

It would actually go from one side of the speaker to the other

LOL... looks like its droppin' trou...

Center to center move would be like 2"... Room would have more impact on imaging than the minor offset of the tweets.

Just pull its pants back up and enjoy...
