Hey when i go to the box directions i dont get how they got .88 ft.^3 with the external dimensions given... I subtracted 1.5 inches from each dimensions and multiplied them together and divided that # by 1728 to find the FT.63, and got like .98 something something something... how did they get .88ft.^3?

    Hmm. That is wierd. I come up with the same thing.

    :confused::confused:

    Either way, Im sure they got the .88 right as recommended volume. Just build your box to this.

    you'll notice that their box is tilted. to get .88 ft^3, the bottom dimension must be 9-5/8" deep, as given, but the top must be 7-7/8" deep (all measures external with 3/4" MDF). Volume comes out to .877 ft^3, an inconsequential difference.

    Haha, Yea i noticed the slant, i just figured when it said "overall" dimensions, it could have meant that rectangular prism would be fine, or u could build it that way w/ the slant... Just wondering, what would be the advantage of the slant? Because, i'd like to take it out, by shortening the bottom side, and lengthing the top side, to make it a rectangular box so it would fit easilier in my brother's honda accord... And does any1 know if a box this big could fit in the trunk of a 95 LX Honda accord? Maybe just by a chance?

    the box is slanted because it fits in a trunk better... the back of most trunks is the back of the rear bench, and that has a slope, so the box is built with a slope to stay snug against the rear of the trunk.

    manuj - for a sealed box, you can make it fit, no biggie. all you need are the .88 ft^3. and the mm2124 is 7" deep along its centre axis.
