Not bad action for a two-man final round...

Yeah, that's some good golf. I'm not a Tiger fan by any means, but that shot at 16 was unreal. Of course he blew it on the next two holes lol. Couldn't believe DiMarco's shot that ran over the hole and kept going on 18.

TW's knees buckled, but DiMarco couldn't KO him.

Exciting finish, but when did they change the playoff from starting at #10 to just replaying 18?

This year I believe. I know they said this was the first time it was played that way. I guess if it went to a second hole, it would have been 10, then alternating between the two.

It's in TW's destiny to be the greatest golfer known to mankind. Time will prove that; he's just warming up. No real competition except VJ -- that dude is ice on them links. Mickelson doesn't have the mental stamina.

DiMarco lost the green jacket in today's first ten minutes.

I just got through watching the tape (I was out chasing the little white ball myself). Tiger has the most skills of any player out there today. He may end up being the greatest....until the next one comes along.....and they always do. The last two years have shown that he must be MOTIVATED to win or the rest are right there with him.

As for the Masters. His 2nd and 3rd rounds were vintage Tiger. Today he was LUCKY and came very near to choking the Masters away on 16, 17 and 18. While the play on 16 was spectacular there was an element of luck involved there. After seeing where DiMarco put his tee shot on the green, there is no way he should put himself in that position to have to hit that shot. Granted...you have to be a great to take advantage of the luck, but that shot won him the Masters. Unfortunately for DiMarco, the luck wasn't with him today (chip on 18). All in all a great masters to watch.

While I think Tiger is the most talented of today's players only time will tell what his ultimate record will be. He still has a ways to go to eclipse Nicklaus's record. Especially now that he is married and has off course distractions to deal with. Remember that Jack was not only a baby making machine but past 1970 he didn't play a whole lot, focusing primarily on the majors. We'll see.

Vijay is probably the hardest worker on tour and makes the most of his skills, however, he is the biggest jackass on tour as well.

Thank you! (to the 'jackass' part) ;)

Too bad for DiMarco but he ended up not embarrassing himself either, for sure.

Actually, that's not true. I've been to the Masters and MCI at Hilton Head and MOST of the players are very gracious to the fans. The biggest jackasses I've run into were Vijay and Ray Floyd. Some of the nicest were Fred Couples, Davis Love III and Mickelson.

DL III was one of the bigger buttheads I've encountered... maybe I caught him on a bad day.

    Back on TW...
Time will tell on his legacy. For sure he has the most unearthly combo of power and finesse I've ever seen. Always felt it would be a matter of his interest level. It should be on the rise, now that he's not dating anymore...

Will say that he did not look like the "old" Tiger today, the one that used to lap it up when someone was challenging him. Today it seemed he just wanted to play it safe, to not lose rather than win.

Anyone else notice that he and Phil did not even acknowledge each other at the jacket ceremony.

I have never had the opportunity to attend a PGA tour event but we have had a Hogan/Nike/Buy.com/Nationwide tour event in Knoxville since 1989 and I've been to many of them (even got to play in the Pro-Am once with a kid who never made it to the big show). Most all of the players on that tour were genuinely nice guys.

I went to the very first Knoxville Open (Ben Hogan Tour) event and watched a guy by the name of Daly win the Long Drive Contest....very impressive at the time. Jeff Maggart won the following year. Just like in any sport, there are some jerks, but I find the pro golfers I've met to generally be more open and friendly....It is after all a very humbling game and it doesn't pay to be too cocky for too long.
