How do i remove the big stock HU in a pontiac sunfire?

    I'd try finding a pontiac forum. They'd probably have much more info on that for you.

    Figure out how the trim panel comes off from around it. Then its usually a matter of removing 4 screws and out it comes.

    if you've already removed the trim pannels there should be 4 screws around the HU, these will probably require either a #7 or #10 socket if memory serves me... if the trim pannel is still on it will most likely simply pop off with sufficent force, If i remember correctly most years of sunfire's didn't have screws holding down the panneling... if it's an older model though it is possible in which case take care in removing the pannel to avoid breaking a bracket...

    If you could post a pic of the car's dash (namely the area around the HU) i could easily give you more descriptive directions.
