Gettin' a new reciever

Time for an upgrade. I am considering buying the Harman Kardon AVR 335 or 435 reciever. My old H/K AVR 65 sounds better than the Yammy I was using. Would anyone like to change my mind? Keep in mind that:
A: I am a poor college student
B: I can get a pretty good deal on H/K products through accomodation at work
C: I want preouts so I won't be uprgading in the near future
I will be running my speakers off the reciever for now, so I want decent power.
Any input is appreciated!
