These are 220-240V versions which would require a voltage transformer here in the U.S. Anybody know if the transformer can degrade the sound quality at all?
If not, these are excellent buys at $445 plus $99 shipping. I'm thinking about it myself as long as there would be no issues with the transformer. How about converting the voltage via a mod?

May or may not be a good deal. I'd call Jolida first and see what they say about it. The reason is that sometimes the foreign models use inferior parts than the US models. Also, I believe Jolida's final assembly and quality assurance in done stateside. Nevertheless, it may be a good deal if you plan on doing some major mods on it, which I would highly recommend. Keep us posted.

Don't know about the transformer, but it's another chain in the link that will likely impact SQ.

I did some searching on Audiogon and from what I've found it appears that there is no problem using a step-up transformer to change the voltage from 110 to 220.
Also, I emailed the seller and found that there would be no warranty included (i figured that). $550 shipped is a great price though for a brand new unit!
I've emailed Jolida and am waiting for a response.

In case anyone's interested, got a reply from Jolida in response to my question asking whether or not these are the exact same units parts-wise except for the voltage.

    From a Michael Allen:
Not the same unit, weaker power supply so they will eventually burn out, and the parts compliment is not the same. They are cheaper units that we sell in the China market at a lower price. Also, there is not warranty or support.

I would have assumed these are the exact same units shipped to the European market but that's what I get for assuming I guess. Guess I'll be checking Audiogon where 2 just sold for $600. I shoulda grabbed one of them.

I've got an HK AVR85 220v that I run with a 2000W transformer and have had no problem.
