I took a chance at ebay on a Polk center channel(paid $75 including shipping). The title says that it is a CS140(so naturally I would assume it is a CSi40).

The description states the following:

Key Features:
Wide dynamic range with a frequency-response of 55 Hz to 22,000Hz
5.25 Dynamic Balance Driver
0.75 Dome Tweeter
8 Ohms impedance
Magnetic Shielding for safe placement on your TV

I should be receiving it on Thursday, April 7.

I'm not too worried about the whole thing. If it is a CSi40, then I'll keep it and go from there.

Just curious to see what you think it is.

What do think I got?

Yeah, it could possibly be a CS175i, but it looks a little bigger than that to me.

I know there was a CS150. It's possible there was a CS140 (1 as in one). Shoot Ken S. and email. If anyone would know...he would.

I thought about it being from the CS150 era, but the grille's logo corresponds to the newer models.

I'm anxious to find out what it actually is.

It was purchased from buyessex on ebay. I thought I would at least take a chance on it for that price.

If it is not a CSi40, then I'll take it up with the seller later. Much of the time, they are not entirely acurate on their descriptions, so I'm hoping that they were wrong on this one too.

    +1 on the CS175i...

All the recent ones have 1" tweeters, except for that & the CSi20. The grill is recent, so that probably rules out the CSi20 and the top is flat, not sloped, which rules out the CS150- If there was a CS140, I imagine it'd be sloped, too.

Another piece of info for this(until I actually get it).

I just checked my Fedex tracking and the shipping weight is 33 pounds.

    From Polk's website:
CSi40: shipping weight is 26 pounds
CSi30: shipping weight is 19 pounds
CS175i: shipping weight is 16 pounds

My hope is back up that it is a CSi40.

If it is, then I got a killer deal. I think it only one small nick on one of the corners. It looked to be the wood veneer.
Did the CS175i have the wood veneer as well?

It is scheduled to be delivered this afternoon.

I'll post my findings as soon as I can.

If it is a 40, then I'm going to be looking for some RTi70's, RTi38's, or RTi28's to fill in a front stage.

I'll go back to the LSi's eventually, but I think the RTi series will be fine for HT and a little bit of music.

Didn't come. It was shipped from Nashville to Memphis on Tuesday. It got to Memphis on Wednesday afternoon and has been at that facility since then. It still shows that is not out for delivery yet.

If they do not deliver today, then I'll just go pick it up.

I've had things come from PA that got here faster. It is just rediculous.

I'll let everyone know as soon as I do.

I'm sure it's the 40 if that's what the auction says. People are more likely to know the model number than the correct specs. if it's not, then you coul send it back...

The CS175i I've got has the old logo on the grille. Not sure if they all do. That doesn't look like a 175i to me. I agree with the above, that they're more likely to get the model number right than the specs. Good luck!

It finally shows that it is out on the truck for delivery.

Hopefully, I'll find out and be able to post by this evening.

    I'm expecting a CSi40. If I that isn't what I get, then I'll send it back.

It is after 6:00 PM and still no package. My wife was outside this afternoon and a Fedex truck stopped in front of our house(actually across the street). The delivery man went to the back of the truck, then went to the front, but never got out.

    Maybe tomorrow, or Monday.

I hate waiting. Especially since it has been less than 20 miles from my house for three days.

    Wow, that's a neat trick.

Yep, that sucks. I had some issues with FedEx a couple weeks ago. I've typically had better luck with them than UPS, but lately...both companies are **** things up for me.

It's frustrating to wait on a package like that...

Record time for non-delivery. I still haven't received the package.

It was shipped from Nashville(three hours from me) last Tuesday, got to Memphis on Wednesday. Normally, it would have been delivered by Thursday(Normal for Fedex for me). It is now Wednesday of the following week. Still no package. I ordered things on Monday of this week and got them today.

I called Fedex customer service this morning. It was out for delivery last Friday, but they didn't actually have the package on the truck  . That explains why the delivery guy looked in his truck, but never got out. Hesaid it was not actually loaded onto the truck until Tuesday of this week. Not delivered on Tuesday because the driver had too many packages. Still not here, although the tracking says it was delivered on porch on Tuesday evening.

I haven't had time to track it down to get it from the driver myself, or go to the hub to pick it up.

Is there anything I can do to get some of my shipping costs back?

I actually have two items that Fedex is supposed to be delivering today: the center channel and the Ascendant Atlas 15" for the DIY sub I'm working on for a customer.

At least UPS has done well and delivered the plate amp from Parts Express.

Is this Fed Ex GROUND? If so, I've had nightmarish problems with them. Claims of incorrect address over and over. I think the driver just doesn't want to go a couple miles out of his way, and puts down incorrect address.

Fed Ex Express usually does a good job however.

I'm sorry, your not even CLOSE to the record...

I've had a package sit for over TWO WEEKS at the VA/NC border.....

Even then it took another week to get here.... I was so pissed off, and then they wouldnt even deliver it to my house, I had to pick it up... freakin USPS... I swear...

    It'll get there eventually

Yeah Sid, but the stupid thing has probably been ess than 30 miles(don't know exact distance) from my house for a week.
How far is the border from you? I guess I'm at a border too(TN/AR-I actually live in West Memphis, AR, but Fedex is based out of Memphis and can't even get it right. They have been wonderful every other time, and I'm not out a huge amount of money or anything, so I'll continue to bite my tongue when I talk to them.

I verified the address with the customer service rep this morning and he read off our exact address. Our house is clearly marked and they make deliveries all the time right across the street where I work(at a junior high), so it isn't like they can't find me.

edit: I just glanced at your post the first time and was thinking Vancouver instead of Virginia. That would be completely different when you have to cross one of those borders. I've had things take as long as two week across the border of Canada.

The border where it was at is roughly 1.5-2 hours away...

Why not just go pick it up? Although those shipping companies arnt to organized when it comes to packages, the package may be under the conveyer belt!
