Hi,

Someone at work is selling an old carver 2000 receiver for $200 cdn. Apparently needs some work as it takes time to warm up?

Does anyone have an idea of the value of this? I'm probably missing out but the needs work has me a bit wary.

regards

Dave

Bluebook says $300 US, but the few I've seen on ebay seem to go for $200 US or less, possibly because most did not include the remote. The low went for just over $100 US.

One with remote did go a tad over $400 US, but it was way out there by its lonesome... It was also about the only one properly identified in the listing.

    Thanks Tour2ma,

I wasn't getting any hits on eBay yesterday, just listings for books written by carver??

I just finished talking to the owner and he seems like a really nice guy. Just had to let go of the gear because of WAF and they moved into a townhouse.

The service issue isn't as bad it sounded. I'm going to take a chance on it and cross my fingers.

    regards
