    Nice! Happy B-Day!

I enjoyed a La Gloria Cubana yesterday while sitting on the front patio with a Stone IPA in hand.

right now I have one cohiba in it but the humidity is still quite low I am using a water pillow along with the sponge to get the humidity up. They say this takes about 5 days. Can't wait I love the smell of spanish cedar.

Happy Birthday!! I guess I will be putting off all trips to the TO area for at least 5 days.;)

P.S. Make sure those pictures include your lovely wife. I want to show my wife that women like these really exist.

P.P.S. Scratch that comment. I just "remembered" (thanks honey) that I am getting a 4 day weekend away with a buddy this weekend. "Wooo-hoo 4 day weekend!!!"
"Sure, everything looks bad if you remember it!"

It took about 8 days for my new humidor to reach full humidity. I've got about 30 sticks in it now. Post some pics of the humidor, I'd love to see it.

    Willow,
Did you wipe down the sides with Distilled water? That helps get the moisture into the cedar quicker. I just left a dish of DI water in there for the first couple days. It didn't take long come up. Once you get more cigars in there, it will become more stable. When they are almost empty, they lose humidity quickly every time you open them.
Over the weekend, I smoked an Astral and a Davidoff. That's more than average for me, but with the nice weather here, its hard to resist.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

No kidding, yesterday it was nearly perfect at my place. Sunny, 72 F with a mild ocean breeze. A stick in one hand, a beer in the other and just relaxing with some good tunes in the background. Man, yesterday was a good day.

Looking forward to seeing some pics.

I did not I shall try that tonight. Wipe down and not soak cause the cedar can warp. I just checked out a smoke shop and they have the water/glycol propylen mix but I don't need that big of size. I only have one cigar in it.

Having 3 days humidity is at 60. I have calibrated the hygrometer and it's 10 off so it's 50. I know have the spong in there the water pillow and a shot glass. This weekend I'm am picking up a 50/50 of water/PG solution. This is supposed to work wonders. Love the smell of the spanish cedar !!:D Now All I need is some somkes to go in there.:(

Ok humidity right last night. I was wrong in my last post yes my hygrometer is off by 10 so when it's reading 61 it's 71 not the other way. Time to buy some cigars this weekend. I am thinking of purchasing smaller cigars than the one in the pic above as they last too long. I usually smoke once maybe twice a month when I walk the dog on a sat night and the walks are about 25-30 mins. The large ones are to big for this length of walk.

Graham , Raggin told me she went back twice to look at the Rti8's and thought about getting them for me! I'm glad she didn't not at this point but the thought of her thinking about them is a good sign for me in the future!! She's great !!
