Crossover and speaker settings?

I just ran the auto setup with my Yamaha 2500, and it set all speakers as "Large" and the crossover at 40Hz. I have the sub hooked up to the amp from the sub out to the LFE input on the sub. I thought I would be better off setting all speakers to "Small" and the crossover to 80Hz. Who is correct....Yamaha or me? I use the system about 60/40 HT to music.

If I were you I'd try these two options.
Set them all to small, cross over at 80hz (or whatever point your reciever starts to filter out the bass from the 5 main speaks)
OR:
Set your mains to large, set rears/center to small. Cross over anywhere between 50-80hz.
Either of those should do it. Set it, tweak it to your liking, and enjoy.
Oh, let us know what you think of the sub. I was thinking of picking one up to play with. -
Thanks, phuz. So far I really like the sub. I just put in the spikes tonight. I have on a hardwood floor, so I needed to make sure where I wanted it. It is in a corner in the downward firing configuration. I'll try both of your suggestions and see which sounds better.Stringman57
