Equalizer?

Hello All,

I know that EQ's in the main sigal chain are a general no-no in the audiophile world, but I'm considering one. I can only do so much with my room/apartment, and if I were to go with bass traps and such, my place would really start to look like a recording studio. I have a BFD for the sub, which help immensely fo freq's below about 70Hz, but there's a few big peaks around 100Hz and I'm sure a few more in the upper registers that are beyond the BFD's effect. The hump...especially the one at around 100, can be quite noticeable on music...especially when one of the chord changes/bass lines falls on that frequency.

So I'm considering the Audio Control Rialto 7-channel EQ....

...really just to take down some of those peaks. Anyone here with experience in regards to this? Thanks in advance.

Try posting this in the subwoofer topic, Dr. Spec is the local guru and could answer this for you, or give other alternatives...

The thing is...I have the sub covered with the BFD...I'm talking about frequencies that are handled by the 5 main speakers.
