Fxi3 wall placement?

I have these speakers so the woofer is facing away from each other, they say left and right. My question is, is this with your back facing the wall or when you are facing the wall left and right?

    It goes from you facing the speakers, you sitting down watching TV - right speaker on the right, left speaker on the left....

    right on the right

    I thought the manual said as your facing the wall..l
    woofs facing inside / facing each other...

    could be effed up though...
    if all else fails................read the book that comes with the speaks
