Connecting Monitor 30s as surround and Ch. B mains at the same time?

Greetings,

I probably shouldn't be attempting this so thats why I'm asking first: I'm about to purchase a pair of Monitor 30's to complete my set up. I run Monitor 50s for fronts a Vintage CS245i for the center and a Velodyne sub. I'll be using the Monitor 30s for the surround but was wondering if it was possible to have them set up on the "B" side of my Receiver/Amp as the 2 mains as well? They would be the only ones on the "B" side and would be set up by our treadmill.

The reason for this would be to use them as surrounds for my normal 5:1 set up but have the option to switch over to the "B" side of the Receiver/Amp to use them as left right speakers when we use the tredmill. It's hard to hear the TV when we are on it. What this would mean is that I would have 2 sets of wire running to the binding posts. Is it OK to do this or could I damage the equipment? I'm concerned because the receiver will allow you to select ch. A+B at the same time as well. Thanks for your comments.

short answer, no don't do it.
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

Yep, I figured that would be the response but I wanted to see if anybody had attempted this. I'll go with plan "A" and install ceiling speakers over the tredmill and connect them to the "B" switch. I picked up the Monitor 30s at lunch and am anxious to connect them up. My Yamaha surrounds are too far back and are too big to mount on the walls by the HT chairs so the 30s should work out nicely. Thanks.
