Yes, but Cody and I earned 90% of ours on the CA side with only 2 forums and 5 regulars.
You get to hang out on the other side with about 40 different forums and a million regulars!

It wouldn't affect my decision to buy a vehicle. Reason being is that I prefer to use components that are of my own standards and desires. This enables me to fine tune the sound to what sounds good to me. Plus, building one's own system is something to look forward to doing. Now, perhaps if they installed Momo's as well as similar quality components I may or may not give to such consideration. However, it would only be a matter of time before I'd have to do things myself the way I want them done.

... i would never endorse a good audio company putting a factory system into a car... why?
look at alpine... they do those bmw or lexus or whatever the hell they do... and they SUCK.
bose? nice home audio... they're not a "loudspeaker" company like polk but they're some of the pioneers in surround sound and getting a lot out of a little box... anyway - CRAP car systems (legendarily crap).
Fact is - if you're going to do a 'premium' factory system - it's going to be paper cones, with crappy low power amps - and way over priced and wholly proprietary hookups... which serves 99% of us people who give a damn about audio ZIPPPPP.
Dont' become a jack of all trades - do what you do - and do it well... wanted to do amps? ok -- I'm not complaining - they're nice amps - btu don't start doing headunits and etc etc etc.... cuz then you'll be a corporate **** like rockford...
Polk Audio - the SPEAKER specialists... and they do it so well...
I'd like to see car mfg's go to a standard system so that aftermarket guys could have an easier time.... for example ---- all cars have either a 5.25 / 6.5 / or 6 x 9 in front --- same for rear.... then when you are a 3rd party company like polk you can dump all your resources into making 3 sizes of speaker (plus component sets) instead of making like 7 sizes. auto company's suck in that regard. The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -
Well put Dodge,
I thought it was rather funny when I noticed that my 04 nissan had come with 2 ohm speakers in the door and 3. something ohm tweeters in the pillars. I guess it was their way of trying to impress people by making a OEM CD/radio play louder without having to add an additional amp. -

As for standard sizes, the legislation for that would most likely involve more cost and time then it is worth, might as well just stick with mods...
