There seems to be a ton of these things on ebay right now. Anything from the 535's to the 555's. Anyone have any opinions on these?

Also the monitor 7's I just bought are rated for 20-150 watts. What would be a good size amp to pair with these? As in, is 60wpc to little?

    Think along the lines that MORE is better. The closer you get to feeding your speakers the maximum number of watts it's designed to handle, the better they will sound.

    Sixty watts is just about right.

    I ran my 7a's on a Rotel RB960BX, and they were nothing short of stunning together.

    The 535 is the best sounding of the Adcom bunch.

    Excellent amps...

    The 535 is a better amp the 535 II, IMO - more power...look better too...

    the II series has a 'lighter' faceplate than the original series, where as one look black, while the other looks like a dark gray

    I always liked the 555- the 585 had more power, but you could fry an egg on the heat sinks... The 555 had a plenty of power and a good clean sound.

    Of course, the 565's win hands down, but that's a whole different ballpark.

    i run my monitor 7's with as little as 45wpc. sounds pretty good to me. I wouldn't turn down 100 or more wpc of course.
