Denon -> Myryad Amp... no power.

I know you need to hook up the trigger output but seeing I don't have a mono one laying around (and radio shack is closed right now), I used a stereo one. I have everything hooked up correctly and what-not but I'm not getting any power from the amp. I figured even if the trigger didn't work, the amp would still power on if manually done so. Nothing. Ideas???

BTW, it's a Denon 3805 as a pre-pro and the Myryad MA500 amp. I've looked through both manuals and it's severely pissing me off. This is my first seperate amp setup so I'm stumped. Someone has to have an idea...

I don't know much about pre-pros cause I'm a 2-channel geek, but could there be a menu setting to "activate" the preamp outs? Also check any fuses the amp might have...you may need to pop the cover.

1)Check the 12v current draw on the power amp and the current available on the Dennon. It might need more juice than is available.

2)Depending on how the pins in the dennon hit the stereo plug, you might get your voltage on different wires than you'd think. Got a voltmeter?

3)Some power amps want an 12VAC trigger rather than a 12VDC that the dennon probably does. If that's the case, just pick up a 12volt wallwart and plug it into the switched outlet on the back of the dennon.

4)With my bryston, I had to manually power it up the first time, then I turned it off w/ the trigger & everything worked great from then on.

well, I figured I'd be able to manually turn it on but for some odd reason, nothing. I know everything's hooked up right (except the trigger obviously) but the amp will not turn on at all. I can't seem to find any info out from their website either. I might have to email the previous owner to see if he knows something... just a tad frustrating...

looks like there's just no power from the amp. Tried switching fuses, nothing. Tried switching power cables, nothing. I'm out of ideas. I emailed Myryad to see if they have a suggestion so we shall see.
