the 400.4 will offer better adjusting capabilities. id personally get the 300.2 but i can tell you that macleod would get the 400.4. i prefer the straight forward install of a 2-channel

i think that with the c300 ill get less distorsion, and maybe a little better SQ.

The only difference between the 300.2 and the 400.4 would be youd have a lot better tuning abilities for the tweeter with bi-amping.

Im sold on bi-amping. Im a firm believer you will always get the best SQ from bi-amping.

But Cody has a point. Straightwiring is a lot easier and cheaper and wont sound bad by any means. I just like the extra tweaking ability.

    to sum it up
    upside
400.4 could give you better slightly better sound quality
    downside
its more expensive (more speaker wire and i believe the amp itself is more expensive)
takes more time to get it sounding right
    harder to wire
300.2 is basically the opposite of the 400.4

Definitely. You wont go wrong with either.

The MMC6500's are more plug and play friendly so straight wiring will be fine. The MM6 however require a lot of tweaking I think. I tried them SW and I think the way Ive got them tuned now is 100 times better than going 2 channel.

    Bottom line:
If you want more of a plug and play set up and dont want to mess with extra cables and dont really care about obsessive tweaking then 2 channel is the way to go.

If youre like me and are never done tweaking your speakers then 4 channel may be a better option.

thanks guys.. latest question on this thread... when you say bi-amp, u mean using one channel for the tweeters and the other for the mids?

    Yup.

Usually youll run the fronts amp channels to the tweeters and the rear amp channels to the mids.

well but i dont will get enough power for the mids! 75watts for each mid is not enought.. and 75 for each tweeter is a lot :D

i think that ill lose a lot of power biamping with the polk amp...

and i have a lot of things to tweak the setup, amp, head unit, speaker crosover... i think that its enough :D

    right?

When you run 150 watts to a tweeter and mid component set, 75 goes to the mid and 75 goes to the tweeter.

The 400.4 puts out about 90x4 so be very careful with the gains. Those speakers aint the Mighty MM6, theyre only rated at 120.

So if one had a MM6 system on the front doors, the C400.4 would be a good bet?

What if a MM6 system was installed in both the front and the back doors? Would two C400.4s be too much or just right?

    Thanks for any input.
