Well, it has been a long and cold winter. Today is the first day since, hell I can't remember, when the temperature has gone above zero (Celsius). We hit -58C months ago and as the equinox has past, we are on the road to long days of daylight. After the Summer Solstice (June 21st), we will have 20 hours of daylight. I can't wait for summer to fish every day (hoping for the 40+ lb Laker), sit on the deck on the weekend, and forget what time it is because of the daylight. With 50 approaching, this is just what I need. Hope you all have a great spring.

After living in a city of millions, 7 lanes of traffic, 3 hours travel to work back and forth, 12 to 16 hour days, stress off the scale

    and now

12 lakes all within a 20 minute drive with trophy size fish
    5 minute walk to work
    20,000 people in all
Water you can hand drink from the lake
Great school system for the young one
    Great Northern tax advantages
    Slow pace of life
    Good paying job
    Excellent friends & colleagues

The list goes on and on. I turn 50 this year and I can't think of a better place to finish it all off. Ya, I'm a lucky guy!

    Jan Michael Gambill,

The extreme cold aside, my future residence will be in a town not too different than what you described. I hope I will look on it as well as you do.

    Personally...

    It looks cold...

The chances of me even spending a weekend there are slim, I couldnt even stand NYC -

But, it is indeed a beautiful area, and I am sure it is warm this time of year! Glad to see some people can enjoy life! hehe
