Looking for a HTiBish speaker set.

I'm looking to get a set of small surround sound sats and possibly sub for around 400 bucks. I dont need receiver or anything as I'll be using a pre and amp that I already have. I was thinking maybe the VT-12 from Hsu + a dayton sub or possibly the Acoustic Research HC6 that got rave reviews. Or if I somehow find a way to spend more get the RM7600 or equivalent system.

Anyone have any tips/experience? or something you're looking to sell?
