Cooling fan, AC or DC?

I’ve been thinking about moving a little air across the top of my 5 channel amp to let it run cooler. I can’t say that it runs hot but with all 5 channels running hard it can get bit warm. I figure the cooler it run the longer it will last. I was wondering for people that run external fans, do you like a DC or an AC fan? Also I’d like to find one that is VERY quiet. The CFM rating of the fan can be pretty low because I’m sure I won’t have to move much air to make a big difference in cooling. Also, where is a good place to pick up a fan that you would recommend?
Thank!

Use a Vantec Stealth model, very low noise and high quality. Buy some radio shack stick-on feet, stick them on the fan chasis. Have the fan "draw" warm air out, rather than blowing air into the amp.

Most AC fans are too powerful, therefore LOUD. I'd go DC. Buy a RS walwart suitable to the voltage/milliamp requiremnts of the fan and splice it in. You only need about 18cfm to get good results.

You could get something like this- http://www.coolerstar.com/hpmoncool.html

or maybe a better quality monitor cooling fan. They're usually designed to have a larger area of coverage. I used to just sit a big-**** A/C fan on top and let it run, but then I had more problems with dust causing heat.
    Ludicrous gibs!
