Pioneer 47ai Bass management

I just bought a polk RM7200 system, Denon AVR 2803 and the Pioneer 47ai at a great price at a flea market.
I am setting them up.
The manual of Pioneer 47ai says it Does offers bass management for DVD audio / SACD, is this only through the i-link (firewire output) or also on analog outputs. The Denon 2803 has no i - link input only the more expensive Denon AVR3805 does.
My sorround speakers are not full range and this would be pretty important and I listen to mostly audio.

The Pioneer's iLink will only mate to and work with a comparably equiped Pioneer Elite receiver.

Yes, that will do bass management through the 5.1 analog outputs...that's the whole point really, becuase most receivers won't do bass management on those inputs...
