Analog & Digital Systems(ADS) L730 Loudspeaker (7/10) $150 Oak
Local pickup or delivery only....no shipping.
(1977-1984 MSRP $850) Excellent example of an old school, high end speaker from a manufacturer that used to be a staple in both high end home audio and car audio.
The speaker is a true 3-Way, acoustic suspension design. Driver compliment: 3/4" soft dome tweeter, 1.5" soft dome midrange, 10" woofer. Smooth, laid back sound. I think ADS sounds alot like Mission with a smooth frequency response and classic British sound from an American company.
6Ohm
30-23K
92db
42lbs/each
Tweeter overload protection....overdesigned crossovers....diffraction mounted drivers....and cabinet construction that is top notch.
The cabinets have a some scratches on the bottom, but they are not deep, simply surface scratches. They have removeable metal grills and are pretty heavy.
EDIT: I was moving these around to my for sale pile, and identified scratches that I did not notice previously. I may hire the Wood Jedi, but probably wouldn't sell them after his magic brings these back to spec.....great speaker now, you should listen to some ADS at some point in your audio life.
Includes: PDF Owners Manual.

I thought you just got these and weren't going to sell them? There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

I decided that I needed room, more than speakers. I got my ear on them, pictures and added them to the file.....time to move them out.
I'm sure that the space will be re-filled by the time Polkfest happens, but for now, everything must go.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

Those are some sweet speakers, and if I didn't need the room around here, he never would've walked out with them. Plus, I still have a unused pair of AR's that are a 12" acoustic suspension, three-way laying about here. The Klipsch's were definitely not my cup of tea being a horn and all, but those 10" acoustic suspension woofs in the ADS? All day long babe.
The cabinets are rock solid, surrounds are butyl rubber, and they have tweeter protection. Somebody needs to buy those.
