rti100 hookup question

For some reason, i absentmindedly hooked up the jumpers and the RCA inputs on my rti100's. I remember in the manual it said not to do this, but what is the effect? The sub definately still works with the jumpers on, but they dont seem to do much any more with the rca imputs. I put a 3rd woofer on to verify that the signal was properly reaching the speakers.
Does doing this actually cause problems?

Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.
Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener. -
I RTFM, and it doesn't say WHAT if ANY effect is. So thanks for the useless reply.
It turns out, that with front speakers set to large, very little signal is going to the subs in comparison to using jumpers. So little that i thought they weren't working. I suppose that's what i get for being used to my 12" downfiring sub.
So, in my experience, connecting both methods doesn't have any damaging effect, even if played at very high levels.
