It depends on what amp youre going to be using.

If youre running a Class D amp you would wire each subs + to the amps +. Then run each subs - to the amps -. This would present a 2 ohm mono load.

If youre running a pair of 2 channel amps then you would run one subs + to one amps left + then that subs - to the amps right - and that would be a 4 ohm mono load. Some amps may vary and it may be the left - and right +. Either way it will be plainly marked on the amp.

beyond what mac said, there's no way for us to tell unless we know what amp you're using.

They have no effect on sound. It all depends on the amp and wiring them up properly for that particular amp. If you hook up both subs in a 2 ohm mono load to a 4 ohm mono amp, youre going to fry your amp.

on a 2104 with decent amps? i find that unlikely. maybe on a brahma or an eclipse aluminium or the like, but not on that. imo.

I dont think you could. 500 watts is 500 watts. Regardless if its coming from a Class D, T, A or A/B.

I guess you could in frequency response as most Class D sub amps dont go beyond 200 Hz.
