Polk subs seem to work best in a sealed box. Here are the plans.
polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
MECA SQ Rookie of the Year 06 ~ MECA State Champ 06,07,08,11 ~ MECA World Finals 2nd place 06,07,08,09
    08 Car Audio Nationals 1st ~ 07 N Georgia Nationals 1st ~ 06 Carl Casper Nationals 1st ~ USACi 05 Southeast AutumnFest 1st

    polkaudio SR6500 --- polkaudio MM1040 x2 -- Pioneer P99 -- Rockford Fosgate P1000X5D

It is true that mm2124's are designed for sealed box's but honestly if you want it in any other kind of box have at it. I had one mm2124 in a giant ported box and it kicked ****. but then again i am switching to a sealed only because its a custom thing i'm doing with two mm's and a plexi glass window.

that will work, but a sealed box is actually rather easy to build (if you have basic woodworking tools and abilities). the box you mentioned is about .24 ft^3 too big. if you get it and find that the bass is too boomy, gluing strips of 2x4 in will fix that.
