Receiver w/ two Outs for center ch and two Outs for LFE?

I have been looking through the threads, trying to find something on whether or not there are any pre/pros or receivers on the market that have two outs for the center channel and two outs for LFE.

Does anyone know of any processor or receiver that offers this? Is there another way I can solve having two centers and two subs my current processor only has one dedicated out per channel?

Using a Y-cable seems a very obvious answer but I heard that could serious screw with my system if there was any "cross-feedback" coming back into the units? Not knowing what this means or if it is humbug or serious, I rather find a receiver or a processor that will give me the option to hook up two centgers and two subs as standard.

Another way might be to utilize each respective pre-amp out for these channels perhaps, but wouldn't I then lose the ability to control these "external" connections when calibrating all channels?

Would be very happy if someone knew something on this issue. I am sure it might be helpful to more than just me....

I have a NAD T763 reciever and it has 2 subwoofer outputs, but I'm not sure if it has 2 center channel outs. Great reciever....I use it as a pre-amp for all my 2-channel listening.

Rotel RSP1068 and some other Rotels have two dedicated pre-outs for centers and subwoofers. Parasound has enough pre-outs to do the same, but they're not hard configured that way.

You shouldn't have any feedback interference using a Y-cable with a preamplifier/receiver. Since the subwoofer or amplifier does not send a signal back, there shouldn't be a problem.

Most problems of this type occur when you use two video/audio sources going in to the same input(with the Y-cable) of a receiver/preamp/television/etc. When both sources are on, two separates signals compete with each other and cause interference.

okie hit the nail on the head- you only have to worry about feedback with a y-cable going two to one, not one to two.

Example: You don't want to take the L/R main pre-outs from your receiver plug them into a y-adapter to get a single hook up for the mono in on a sub.

What you're talking about is fine.

Forgot to say that my setup now =
2x CS400i (WTB: a third cs400i for rear center)
2x RT35i as L/R mains
2 fx300i rear surrounds
Currently 1 LFE sub 10" Titanic MKIII DIY (want to build a second..)


Thanks for all feedbacks. My follow-up to this is... will there be nuff voltage in the signal to make it all the way to the two amps with the correct signal-strength?

Was even thinking of doing two more RT35i up front but placed wider than the current L/R mains. Want WIIIIIDE soundstage. Not too worried about crosstalk on the speaks. More worried I'd be "losing" something in the signal. My common sense says "yes, it will work", but then again, I'd rather not be wrong and screw up my precious HK Sig 2.1s, nor do I want to get inferior results.

Another angle that I don't think anyone touched on:

Could I just run a full 7.1 output using the main speaker outs on a receiver and then just double whichever channels I wanted using one set of pre-amps on the receiver (no Ys this time..) feeding one HK amp for the secondary channels?

My thinking here is that if this is possible, then I can keep my receiver, keep one HK amp and sell the other to get me some more polks...perhaps upgrade my fx300i who seriously need some help...thinking fx500i should do the trick!

Now ya'll probably kill me for even thinking this, but.....

What I was thinking of doing is building some kind of speaker stand that can be bolted to the Titanic sub (see pic for sub). Top plate area on sub is 14x14 so plenty of space to work with and then place a RT35i onto the speaker stand. Everything done with solid materials and with nice finish. Kinda like a **** RT2000i with the RT35i/Titanic MKIII combo.

What's the verdict?

As a last attempt to save myself, let me say that I have at least followed the forum's advice and bought a huge square piece of granite at Home Depot on which the sub stands. It sounds so much better that way than just with the std spikes and on my carpet.
