MIT Terminator 2 - info?

I got these IC's from my folks, since they aren't as into home audio as they use to be. They're around 7-10 years old I believe, not sure how much they cost, but I believe it was over $200.

I've looked all over, and while I see a lot of Terminator 2's, they all seem to have a different design than these ones. I'm getting my new signal cables, so I'm gonna let these go, but I'm not sure how much they're worth, so hoping someone here knows what the deal is with these suckers.

I'll give you $25/pair for them.

Seriously, the Terminator series started at (entry level) higher numbers (Ie Term 5,4,3), and the top end was the Terminator (no number), and the Terminator 2.

Sad fact, is cables do NOT hold their value, as other audio gear does. Once the new model comes out, they all shrink in value substantially, whether justified by performance or not.

You MIGHT be able to bag $50 for the pair (quarter of retail) if you are patient, and spend a bunch on ebay/agon fees.

    Cheers,
    Russ

The T2 was in production for @ 10 years, those white ones you have are from the start.......probably still better than new SC's.

If the others back out, I'll take them. I'm short on good IC's.

Yeah, they do sound pretty good from what I can tell without having done an A/B with anything else. Only problem using them is I'd need more of them for SACD, and obviously they're not too easy to come by. And mentally I can't stand having different IC's for different channels ;)

Anyway, I didn't post this in the Flea Market because I wasn't sure I wanted to sell them, just wanted to see what they should go for... and at the prices you guys have said I think I'll just hang on to them for now, incase I decide to go 2 channel or something. Thanks for the infos!

You only need one pair for SACD.

Well I'm a multichannel man at the moment, but since there are some stereo only SACD's, I may hook these up to the Denon's second L/R analog outs, we'll see how the SC's compare.

Thank's for the kinder reply with the edit F1 :) I certainly enjoy good stereo recordings, I just go with multichannel when available for the most part right now, but I havent experienced many albums stereo vs. multi yet.
