a Klipsch SW-8 II subwoofer, for $5. Plus N.J. state sales tax. $5.30 total. Somebody left a water glass on the top so the ring is there.

It operates just fine and I'm totally un-impressed. What a piece of ****. I'm glad I didn't spend $6 cause then I would've felt violated. But I have a feeling this thing will fly off the shelf to someone I've never met before, for a bit more than $5.30.

    Is that a passive job?

Hook it up in one of your daughter's rooms - it may 'load up' better in a small(er) room.

Can't blame you, I probably would have picked it up too. You never know the OTHER guys might fight for it.

    Cheers,

Don't you love bottom fishing. Never know what you'll find. Yesterday I checked my local Goodwill and found a Denon PMA-500V amp and matching TU400 tuna for 24 bucks. 80w/per it sounded purty good hooked to some M7s playing Clapton and Mr. Johnson. Think I'll throw them in the keeper basket.

i'm moving to the South/Southwest. you guys get great deals on bargin stored finds.

Honestly, if that gear that Polkersince85 snagged. it would have been either $29 each or $39 each. with no room to bargin. They keep saying.. prices are set as indicated on the sales sticker.

    A Kenwood 5500 tuna for $39 ? I don't think so Mr. Goodwill.

Jersey is considerably northeast of the southwest.

Russ, it's a powered job with 65w amp, and 8" active, 10" assward blowing passive. Stephies got 10" acoustic suspension woofers and so does Tiff. Both is good sized boxes.

I would've been all over those Denon's myself mon!

Just bought it to flip Doro. I took it into the He-Man Rig room to try it out with a Kenwood HT receiver. It was embarrassed to be in there with the big league. For $5, the drivers alone were worth it.

I used to frequent the Village Thrift, which was somewhere outside of Philly. That's where I picked up my Monitor 5jr's for $15. Of course, they both had blown tweets, but still... $15 is $15. Unfortunately, they closed up shop a few years ago. Very disappointing as they had the best of the electronics as far as thrifts go in that area. None of the SalVal stores held a candle to that place. Plus I found a Pink Floyd shirt there once... bonus!
    Ludicrous gibs!
