What piece or pieces of equipment have you owned over the years that, you either sold, gave away, wore out, had stolen or plain just didn't realize what you had at the time and wished you still had it today? (I know poor grammer, but you get the point)

I regret selling my Nakamichi Dragon cassette player. I know the cassette tape has run it's course and if I still owned my Dragon it would get very little if any use. But that thing was a marvel of engineering and it sounded so good.

I also regret selling my original Polk 5B's. I wish I had them for a 2nd system in the bedroom. At the time I needed the cash to buy other equipment and looking back I wish I could have kept them. Those were the ones that turned me onto the Polk sound.

I abused the hell out of my dads old AR-2's and traded an Adcom 545 for a couch... But I really miss my 565 monoblocks that I sold.

Ah, the 565's always wanted a pair but just don't have the room!
I bet sitting on the couch was much more comfortable than sitting on the 545 :).

I regret selling my Pioneer sx 880 receiver that I had bought new in the mid 70's.
My Marantz HD 770 speakers are wore out at the moment. The woofers need to be refoamed, but I plan on getting them fixed. They were also bought new in the mid 70's.

I don't regret anything as that would mean I wasn't doing the right things in the first place. You gotta move gear to get gear.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Car audio - My entire last Civic that was stolen years back. It had the Alpine IVA-C800 monitor, Alpine DVD player, Rockford 800.4 Power series amp, Rockford BD1500 amp, and a 12W7. Was going to order the Focal highs the next week but the car was stolen, so that was a no go. Had that system for all of 3 weeks... car was stolen. SIGH!!! I still miss her.

    George,

I think you mis-read the thread. I was asking about equipment you regretted getting rid and still wish you had today. I can get you a GFA-555 for a real good price. Without water marks too. Maybe I can trade you for the sub you just bought? :)

 I think we should be a bit more civil maybe?

I haven't sold anything yet, haven't needed to as I haven't built the systems I want yet.
