Denon 2200 universal player.

I haven't seen much about this player, but I purchased one from Tweeter in Birmingham that was a display model in their high end sound room. It is in good shape and only cost me $150 and I think its original retail was about $500+.

Anyone have an opinion about this universal player? It comes with the Burr Brown DACs so I am pretty sure it will impress as a cd/sacd/dvd-a player but I am more curious about how it will perform as a video source (I can't pick it up until later in the week).

    I just bought a used one for about $100 more than you did and so far I’m very pleased with both audio and video functions of the unit.
    That’s a steal at that price!

    The Denon 2200 is the best quality DVD player I have ever used. I paid 4x's that for mine.

    Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.

    Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.

    I just wish it came with Denon Link and then it would probably be perfect. But hey, at that price I just had to grab it.
