Thiele-Small anyone?

Anyone out there with info on Monitor 7, 10, 12, six inch driver Theile Small parameters? This whould be the MW-6500 driver.

FS, Q parameters,
and VAS?

Building a Speaker Cabinet with one or two MW-6500 drivers and one Peerless tweeter less the subradiator.

I might be able to measure the TS specs for you. I have the Monitor 7As, I dont know if that is the same driver.

I'll be measuring some drivers this week and can add this one if you want.


Edit: I saw that you are looking at the monitor 10 crossover correct? It isn't going to be perfect but it's probably your best bet. Polk can get you the schematic or a new crossover.

Yes! I would like the T/S on the driver out of your 7a. I have a model 7b I think the drivers mw-6500 are the same or close? Thanks for the reply and link! Hope to here back from you soon.

The 7B driver looks a little different from mine but it's no problem to add them to the driver tests this week, they're probably close enough. The drivers I am testing are for another DIY monitor project I am starting soon. I'll just throw in the Polks aswell.

What program are you using to model the enclosure?

Do me a favour, can you measure the DC resistance of one of your drivers? That will give a good indication if they are similar.

Not to be a party pooper, but showing a little respect for the manufacturer we have all come to know and love...

T/S is proprietary info, and Polk treats it as such. If you do share it, would you do so privately via pm or email. Not that I care if other members see it, but 'guests' (ie the general un-registered public) are free to browse the boards also. I don't think they should have that info.
