Little background
My cousin recently moved down from NC and are staying with us till the first when there apt is ready. She has 2 kids. 5 year old girl and 12 year old boy(Bryton). Well he has a little Honda 50CC dirt bike that isnt working so myself and a neighboor have been working feverishly to get it going. We worked on it the better half of the day yesterday and Bryton was getting really excited since it hasnt worked for 3 years. Turns out its the carburator and needs a new one but they are out of mfg since its from 1985. Called around to a couple shops and can rebilled them. So first thing this morning i was gonna take it apart and drop it off so it would be running by next weeked. Got up this morning it was gone. My heart dropped to my toes. Holy **** Bryton is gonna be devistated. Its all he has been talking about. Had it chained to the front porch with a pretty thick Kryptonite cable and a thick ol Master lock. They tried to cut the lock but couldnt so they managed to cut throught the cable. First thing i did was start calling around to local Sherriff TPD to report it, but i knew the general area of where it would be. Robles Park housing projects just few blocks down the road. So i told Bryton i would find it or buy him a go-kart. Funny the Heli-Copter is flying over the projects as i type. So i goto the store this morning for some breakfest and trolled around the Projects and didnt see anything. Waited till about 1:00 pm and took another stroll. You talk about adreniline when i see some young punks strolling it down the street (doesnt work)
So i followed them to a corner where they stopped and were just hangin out. So i rush down the block to the guy who was helping me fix it, honked he came out (just woke up) told him it was stolen and i know where its at. Hopped in his truck and hauled **** back there jumped out and said COPS ARE ON THE WAY. Just like that they vanished and loaded the bike up and its in the back room.
How stupid can you be to steal it the night before and have it out??? There was about 10 punks from 5 to 13 years old. Would liked to know what the parents said when they asked where they got it????
Anyway still shaking a bit. Time for a victory beer

Heh heh, would have been pretty funny if the cops had spotted YOU loading it up afterwards and hauled you off.
Sad to think how this group of 5 to 13 year olds are growing up. Already know how to lift a chained up bike. Really sad...
